अग्निं होतारं मन्ये दाशुषे धीरमध्वरे । यज्ञेषु देवममृतम् ॥
agniṃ hotāraṃ manye dāśuṣe dhīramadhvare । yajñeṣu devamamṛtam ॥
अनुवाद: I consider Agni as the hotar, the wise one for the giver of oblations in the sacrifice, the divine and immortal one in the rituals.
The rishi recognizes Agni as the supreme priest who connects humans with the divine realm.
आ हुतस्य प्रचेतसो दधीत देवो मर्त्योऽमृतस्य नामभिः । यज्ञेषु देवममृतम् ॥
ā hutasya pracetaso dadhīta devo martyo'mṛtasya nāmabhiḥ । yajñeṣu devamamṛtam ॥
अनुवाद: Let the mortal mortal invoke the wise and well-offered immortal divine through the names of immortality.
Mortals invoke the immortal Agni through sacred mantras and offerings during the sacrifice.
