मन्त्र 1

अग्निं होतारं मन्ये दाशुषे होता यक्षद्देवो वीतये वचोभिर्यः । तं वो मन्ये दाशुषे होता यक्षद्देवो वीतये वचोभिर्यः ॥

agniṃ hotāraṃ manye dāśuṣe hotā yakṣaddevo vītaye vacobhiryaḥ । taṃ vo manye dāśuṣe hotā yakṣaddevo vītaye vacobhiryaḥ ॥

अनुवाद: I consider Agni as the invoker, the bestower of gifts to the worshipper. May the divine invoker worship through our words for the enjoyment of the gods.

The Rishi recognizes Agni as the primary spiritual conductor who carries human prayers to the divine realm.

मन्त्र 2

अग्ने होता न्यषीदद्होता यक्षद्देवो वीतये वचोभिः । तं वो मन्ये दाशुषे होता यक्षद्देवो वीतये वचोभिर्यः ॥

agne hotā nyaṣīdadhotā yakṣaddevo vītaye vacobhiḥ । taṃ vo manye dāśuṣe hotā yakṣaddevo vītaye vacobhiryaḥ ॥

अनुवाद: O Agni, the invoker has seated himself. May the divine invoker offer worship for the divine feast through our praises.

Agni takes his rightful place at the sacrificial altar to facilitate communion between humans and gods.
