Agni Sūkta - Rigveda Maṇḍala 2 Sukta 10

agniṃ hotāraṃ manye dāśuṣe vaco yaviṣṭhaṃ viśvacetasam । ya ṛtajāto dharmaṇā divi spṛśatsukṣetro dhīyate dhruvaḥ ॥

अनुवाद: I consider Agni to be the hotā (invoker/priest) for the worshipper, full of words, the youngest, all-knowing. Born of truth, by law he touches the sky, a well-situated and firm one is established.

Agni is recognized as the ultimate divine priest who carries our prayers upward. He is ever-youthful, conscious of all things, and stands firmly established as the embodiment of divine order.

sa hi kraturbṛhato jātavedāḥ sa dūtaścārūrmadhuro vacoabhūt । agnirdevo devānāmavasā śaṃsyo bhūtpurohito gṛhapatirniṣadya ॥

अनुवाद: For he is the will of the vast, the knower of all beings. He is the charming, sweet messenger of words. Agni, the divine being among gods, has become worthy of praise by his grace, sitting as the domestic priest and master of the house.

Agni serves not only as the messenger between heaven and earth but also resides intimately within our homes and hearts as the guardian of domestic and spiritual life.
