Rigveda Mandala 2 Sukta 11

मन्त्र 1

यो जातः एव प्रथमो मनस्वान् देवो देवान् क्रतुना पर्यभूषत् । यस्य शुष्कात् रोदसी अभ्यसेतां नृम्णस्य मह्ना तं जनस इन्द्रः ॥

yo jātaeva prathamo manasvān devo devān kratunā paryabhūṣat । yasya śuṣkāt rodasī abhyasetāṁ nṛmṇasya mahnā taṁ janasa indraḥ ॥

अनुवाद: He who, soon as born, first of thoughtful gods, excelled the gods by his wisdom; at whose breath the two worlds trembled through the greatness of his strength—he, O men, is Indra.

Indra is supreme right from His birth, surpassing other deities through His divine will and intellect, causing the heaven and earth to tremble in awe of His glorious power.

मन्त्र 2

यः पृथिव्युपस्थिताममृंहद्यः पर्वतन्प्रकुपितांरमणात् । यो अन्तरिक्षं विममे वरीयो यो द्यामस्तभ्नात् स जनस इन्द्रः ॥

yaḥ pṛthivyupasthitāmamṛhaṁhadyāḥ parvatänprakupitāṁramaṇāt । yo antarikṣaṁ vimame varīyo yo dyāmastabhnāt sa janasa indraḥ ॥

अनुवाद: He who made the quaking earth firm, who set at rest the agitated mountains, who measured out the spacious middle region, who supported the heaven—he, O men, is Indra.

Indra is the great cosmic architect who stabilized the earth, calmed the mountains, expanded the atmosphere, and propped up the heavenly spheres.
