Yajurveda Adhyaya 1 Section 6: Consecration of the Sacrificial Altar and Vasoradhara

मन्त्र 1

इयन्ते अग्ने समिधः प्रयस्वतीस्तभिर्दीदिहि द्युम्नाय सं मिमिक्षस्व ।

iyante agne samidhaḥ prayasvatīstabhardīdhi dyumnāya saṃ mimiksasva ।

अनुवाद: This is thy fuel, O Agni, laden with offerings; with these shine forth brightly, and commingle yourself richly with splendor.

The priest offers sacred fuel into the fire, praying for the flame of divine consciousness to blaze forth with brilliance and infuse the sacrificer with spiritual light and wealth.

मन्त्र 2

विष्णोः कर्माणि पश्यत यतो व्रतानि पस्पशे । इन्द्रस्य युज्यः सखा ।

viṣṇoḥ karmāṇi paśyata yato vratāni paspaśe । indrasya yujyaḥ sakhā ।

अनुवाद: Behold the works of Vishnu, through which He has perceived the cosmic laws; He is the inseparable companion and friend of Indra.

This verse calls upon the participants to witness the pervasive, all-encompassing actions of Vishnu, who upholds the cosmic order in close alliance with Indra, the supreme power of the enlightened mind.
