Agnaye Pavakaya Saptatantuh - The Purification of the Ritual

मन्त्र 1

अग्निः पावकः पावकस्य पातु मा तन्वा पातु तन्वं मे देवो द्युमत्तनूः ॥

agniḥ pāvakaḥ pāvakasya pātu mā tanvā pātu tanvaṃ me devo dyumattanūḥ ॥

अनुवाद: May Agni the purifier, of the purifier, protect me with his body; may the luminous deity protect my body.

The priest prays to Agni, the radiant purifier, to protect both the ritual vessel and his own physical form, establishing a bridge between the divine flame and human consciousness.

मन्त्र 2

स जुष्टो धूमो भवतु यस्य सूपकरणं ब्रह्म ज्योतिर्भवति विश्वरूपम् ॥

sa juṣṭo dhūmo bhavatu yasya sūpakaraṇaṃ brahma jyotirbhavati viśvarūpam ॥

अनुवाद: May that smoke be auspicious and acceptable, whose accessory is Brahman, and whose light is the universal form.

As the sacred smoke rises from the fire, it represents the upward striving of human aspiration toward the all-encompassing divine light.
