Darśapūrṇamāsānvāraṃbhaṇa - The Initiation of New and Full Moon Sacrifices

मन्त्र 1

इषे त्वा ऊर्जे त्वा वायवः स्थ देवो वः सविता प्रार्पयतु श्रेष्ठतमाय कर्मणै.

iṣe tvā ūrje tvā vāyavaḥ stha devo vaḥ savitā prārpayatu śreṣṭhatamāya karmaṇai.

अनुवाद: For food (sap and vigor) I take you, for strength I take you. You are the vital breaths (winds); may Savitar the divine prompt you towards the most excellent work.

The sacrificer touches the branches or ritual grass with the awareness of inviting divine vital energies and nourishing forces for the highest righteous actions.

मन्त्र 2

अग्नये त्वा जुष्टं गृह्णाम्येष ते योनिरग्नये त्वा जुष्टतमम्.

agnaye tvā juṣṭaṃ gṛhṇāmyeṣa te yoniragnaye tvā juṣṭatamam.

अनुवाद: For Agni I accept you, acceptable. This is your womb. For Agni I accept you as most acceptable.

The sacred offering or material is lifted and dedicated to Agni, recognizing its divine origin and destined purpose in the ritual fire.
