मन्त्र 1

यो जागार तमृचं कामयन्ते यो जागार तमु सावः सचन्ते। यो जागार सोम्यं सदने तस्याहं मध्ये निहितो वेद नाम॥

yo jāgāra tamṛcaṃ kāmayante yo jāgāra tamu sāvaḥ sachante। yo jāgāra somyaṃ sadane tasyāhaṃ madhye nihito veda nāma॥

अनुवाद: He who is awake, him the Rig-verses desire; he who is awake, him the Soma-libations follow. He who is awake in the home of the Soma, of him I know the secret name held in the midst.

Spiritual wakefulness and alertness are praised. Divine knowledge and holy verses reveal themselves only to those whose inner consciousness is fully awakened.

मन्त्र 2

विश्वा रूपाणि प्रति मुञ्चते कविः पुरूत्रा सद्यो विदधद्विनानम्। भद्रा ते लक्ष्मीरनिमिषान्न चेतसे सुमतिर्विश्वह स्तु॥

viśvā rūpāṇi prati muñchate kaviḥ purūtrā sadyo vidadhadvianam। bhadrā te lakṣmīranimiṣānna chetase sumatirviśvaha stu॥

अनुवाद: The seer puts on all forms everywhere, instantly creating deep wisdom. May your auspicious grace, unremitting like the gaze of the wakeful, be ever for our enlightened mind.

The divine poet or ultimate consciousness assumes all forms. We pray for enduring divine grace and an awakened intellect.
