Yajurveda Adhyaya 2 Sukta 22: Consecration of the Sacrificial Fire and Offering

मन्त्र 1

इयम् ते राट् यमस्य महिम्ना स्योनम् अस्मे सुकृते योनौ सीद।

iyam te rāṭ yamasya mahimnā syonam asme sukṛte yonau sīda.

अनुवाद: O king, by the greatness of Yama, this soft seat is for us; sit in the womb of the well-doer.

The mantra invites the divine presence into the prepared sacrificial altar, acknowledging the moral and spiritual readiness of the seeker.

मन्त्र 2

ऊर्जे त्वा बृहत्ये त्वा क्षत्राय त्वा सहसे त्वा।

ūrje tvā bṛhatye tvā kṣatrāya tvā sahase tvā.

अनुवाद: For energy thee, for greatness thee, for dominion thee, for strength thee.

These offerings and touches consecrate the ritual instruments and the sacrificer with various dimensions of divine power and capability.
