The Consecration of the Offering Spoons

मन्त्र 1

ध्रुवासि ध्रुवक्षितिर्ध्रुवमसि ध्रुवक्षितिः कृणुहि माम्। विप्रशस्योसि विप्रशस्यः कृणुहि माम्।

dhruvāsi dhruvakṣitirdhruvamasi dhruvakṣitiḥ kṛṇuhi mām। vipraśasyosi vipraśasyaḥ kṛṇuhi mām।

अनुवाद: Thou art steadfast, dwelling in steadfastness. Thou art firm, make me firm in dwelling. Thou art praised by the wise, make me praised by the wise.

The priest addresses the offering vessel or the sacred ground, invoking stability, firmness of purpose, and the divine grace to be recognized by wise sages.

मन्त्र 2

ऊर्जे त्वा यशसे त्वा ब्रह्मवर्चसाय त्वा।

ūrje tvā yaśase tvā brahmavarcasāya tvā।

अनुवाद: For energy I take thee, for glory I take thee, for spiritual luster I take thee.

A mantra used while touching or lifting the ritual vessel, consecrating it to generate vital energy, worldly and divine glory, and spiritual radiance.
