अग्ने व्रतपते व्रतम् चरिष्यामि तच्छकेयं तन्मे राध्यताम् । इदमहमनृतात्सत्यमुपैमि ॥
agne vratapate vratam cariṣyāmi tacchakeyaṃ tanme rādhyatām । idamahamnṛtātsatyamupaimi ॥
अनुवाद: O Agni, Lord of sacred vows, I shall perform the vow; may I be capable of it, may that succeed for me. From untruth I now go unto truth.
The sacrificer dedicates himself to truth and righteousness, seeking the inner strength and divine assistance of Agni to uphold his sacred commitments.
समिद्धो अग्नो समिध्यस्व गृणते महो महः । दीदिहि द्युमत्पावक दीव्य देव देवेभ्यो यज्ञाय ॥
samiddho agno samidhyasva gṛṇate maho mahaḥ । dīdihi dyumatpāvaka dīvya deva devebhyo yajñāya ॥
अनुवाद: Well-kindled, O Agni, do thou shine forth, bestowing glory upon the singer. Shine brightly, O purifying one, radiant God, for the gods and for the sacrifice.
An invocation to the blazing sacrificial fire to illuminate the consciousness of the worshipper and elevate the ritual offerings to the divine realms.
