The Consecration of the Offering and the Sacrificial Waters

मन्त्र 1

आपो वा इदं सर्वं विश्वा भूतान्यापः प्राणा आपः पशव आपोऽन्नमापोऽमृतमपः सम्राटपां विराट्.

āpo vā idaṁ sarvaṁ viśvā bhūtānyāpaḥ prāṇā āpaḥ paśavāpo'nnamāpo'mṛtamapaḥ samrāṭapāṁ virāṭ.

अनुवाद: Verily, water is all this, all beings are water, prāṇas are water, cattle are water, food is water, immortality is water, the universal king is water, the radiant is water.

Water is praised here as the fundamental essence underlying all physical and vital manifestations in the universe, representing the divine flow of life and sustenance.

मन्त्र 2

अग्निर्वा आपोऽग्निर्देवा अग्निर्विश्वानि भूतान्यग्निरन्नाद्यमग्निश्चन्द्रांस्यग्निः प्रजापतिः.

agnirvā apo'gnirdevā agnirviśvāni bhūtānyagnirannādyamagniścandrāṁsyagniḥ prajāpatiḥ.

अनुवाद: Agni indeed is water, Agni is the gods, Agni is all beings, Agni is food, Agni is the luminaries, Agni is Prajapati.

This mantra identifies the sacred fire (Agni) with the supreme creative force that permeates all realms of existence, illuminating and transforming creation.
