Rigveda Mandala 2 Sukta 4

मन्त्र 1

होता यक्षद्वृणती रोदसी अपो होता यक्षत्स्वमग्निमिह प्रियम् । होता यक्षदृतजुष्टानि नो हविर्होता यक्षदिषुरो रोदसी इति रोदसी ॥

hotā yakṣadvṛṇatī rodasī apo hotā yakṣatsvamagnimiha priyam । hotā yakṣadṛtajuṣṭāni no havirhotā yakṣadiṣuro rodasī iti rodasī ॥

अनुवाद: May the invoking priest worship heaven and earth and the waters; may the invoking priest worship our dear Agni here; may the invoking priest worship our offerings accepted by Truth; may the invoking priest worship heaven and earth.

Agni is invoked as the supreme priest who establishes harmony between heaven, earth, and the sacred waters, bringing divine blessings to humanity.

मन्त्र 2

अग्निर्होता गृहपतिः स राजा विद्वाँो होता यक्षद्देवो देवैः । जातवेदाः सुकृतो दुर्वृताँश्च प्रेताँ अगाद्गमयद्देवलोकान् ॥

agnirhotā gṛhapatiḥ sa rājā vidvãṃso hotā yakṣaddevo devaiḥ । jātavedāḥ sukṛto durvṛtãṃśca pretãṃ agādgamayaddevalokān ॥

अनुवाद: Agni is the priest, the master of the house, the king, the wise one; may the divine invoking priest worship alongside the gods. Jātavedas guides both the righteous and unrighteous souls to their divine realms.

Agni knows all created things and governs the moral and spiritual order, guiding souls according to their deeds.
