मन्त्र 1अ॒स्य प्र॒त्यक्ता॑नि वृष॒भस्य॑ शे॒वे पा॒युर्भ॑वति ज॒रत॑ॄणाम् । स प्र॒त्नथा॒ प्र यु॑युते मना॒यीः स॒द्यो ज॒ज्ञ्जानो नि रि॑णात्य॒पः ॥
asya pratyaktāni vṛṣabhasya śeve pāyurbhavati jaratṛṇām | sa pratnathā pra yuyute manāyīḥ sadyo jajñāno ni riṇāty apaḥ ||
अनुवाद: Of this mighty bull, his protective favor is close to the singers. Anciently he sets the yearning thoughts in motion; immediately upon his birth he causes the waters to flow forth.
Indra is described as the great bull who protects his devoted chanters, unleashing the divine waters of grace and inspiration right from the moment of awakening.
मन्त्र 2य ईं॒ चकार॑ सु॒कृता॑ सु॒कृत्वा॒ य उ॒त शंस॑मवति॒ दस्य॑वे॒ वृक् । इन्द्र॒ इत्सो अ॑स्य॒ सखा॒ य उ॑ग्र॒ः कृश॑स्य चित्त्स॒दिम॑ध्ये॒ति वेद॑ ॥
ya īṃ cakāra sukṛtā sukṛtvā ya uta śaṃsamavati dasyave vṛk | indra it so asya sakhā ya ugraḥ kṛśasya citt sadimadhye ti veda ||
अनुवाद: He who as a master builder performed good deeds, who protects the prayer against the enemy thief—Indra indeed is that friend who, fierce, knows how to enter into the midst of the afflicted.
Indra is the ultimate friend of the righteous, protecting prayers from dark forces and coming to the rescue of the vulnerable in their deepest distress.
