मन्त्र 1

yaj jāgrato dūram udaiti daivaṁ tadu suptasya tathaivaiti | dūraṅgamaṁ jyotiṣāṁ jyotir ekaṁ tan me manaḥ śiva-saṅkalpam astu ||

अनुवाद: That which travels far away when one is awake, and which similarly goes away when one is asleep; that which is the far-going lone light of lights—may that mind of mine be filled with auspicious resolves.

The mind is the most dynamic entity in the universe. It wanders across space and time effortlessly in both waking and dreaming states. This verse prays that this powerful inner light be anchored in goodness and divine intention.
