Agni's Protective Alignment

agne vratapate vratamupaiṣyāmi tacchakeyaṃ tanme rādhyatām। idamahamamṛtāt satyamupaimi।

O Agni, Lord of sacred vows, I shall enter upon the vow; may I be capable of it, may it succeed for me. Here I go from falsehood to truth.

The seeker appeals to Agni, the divine will, for strength and steadfastness to uphold spiritual disciplines and transition from illusion to absolute truth.

satyaṃ ca vā ṛtaṃ ca abhiddhātastapaso'dhyējātam। tato rātryajāyata tataḥ samudro arṇavaḥ।

Truth and cosmic order were born from the kindled supreme fervor. From that arose the night, and from that arose the swelling ocean.

This mantra describes the cosmic genesis, showing how foundational truths and universal order emerge from deep spiritual concentration.
