Agni's Dedication and Priesthood

मन्त्र 1

इषे त्वा ऊर्जे त्वा वायवः स्थ देव्या व ऊर्जयन्ताम्

iṣe tvā ūrje tvā vāyavaḥ stha devyā vā ūrjayantām

अनुवाद: For sap/food I thee, for strength I thee; ye are the winds, let the divine ones invigorate you.

The priest addresses the ritual instrument or offering, sanctifying it for divine nourishment and spiritual power.

मन्त्र 2

आ यो विश्वानि दधते द्रविणानि सचत सुतः

ā yo viśvāni dadhate draviṇāni sacata sutaḥ

अनुवाद: He who holds all treasures and unites with the pressed juice of devotion.

Agni or the Divine receptacle embraces all cosmic wealth and the purified offerings of the seeker.
