Purification and Preparation of the Sacrifice

मन्त्र 1

इयते त्वा स्वाहा महते त्वा स्वाहा दिव्यै त्वा स्वाहा

iyate tvā svāhā mahate tvā svāhā divyai tvā svāhā

अनुवाद: For the expansive one, you (are offered); svāhā. For the great one, you (are offered); svāhā. For the celestial one, you (are offered); svāhā.

This mantra dedicates the sacred offerings to the various expanding dimensions of the divine, invoking divine grace and purity.

मन्त्र 2

अन्तरिक्षाय त्वा स्वाहा पृथिव्यै त्वा स्वाहा

antarikṣāya tvā svāhā pṛthivyai tvā svāhā

अनुवाद: For the intermediate space, you (are offered); svāhā. For the earth, you (are offered); svāhā.

The oblation is consecrated across the physical and atmospheric realms, binding the terrestrial plane with the cosmic expanse.
