Agni Vaishvanara and the Awakening of Consciousness

मन्त्र 1

प्र वो देवाय अग्नये भरध्वं होताारमृत्त्यजं होतृवर्यम् । य ईमहे विशपातिं दुरोणे अमर्त्यं यजमानो वि वक्ति ॥

pra vo devāya agnaye bharadhvaṃ hotāram ṛtvijaṃ hotṛvaryam | ya īmahe viśapatiṃ duroṇe amartyaṃ yajamāno vi vakti ||

अनुवाद: Bring forth for you unto the divine Agni your offerings—the Hotar priest, the arranger of sacrifices, the choicest Hotar. He whom we beseech, the lord of the settlements in the home, the immortal, the sacrificer proclaims far and wide.

The Rishi calls upon seekers to offer their devotion to Agni, the divine priest who bridges the human and the divine, residing within every household as the immortal flame of consciousness.

taṃ tvā vayaṃ sumatibhir namasvo 'gne daksair dutye vardhayāmaḥ | bṛhantaṃ kṣesyam ṛtasya nāmnā parjanya iva tatantha vṛṣṭibhiḥ ||

अनुवाद: Thee, O Agni, we with good thoughts and reverence magnify in our messenger-service with our skills. Great one, dwelling in the abode by the name of truth, thou hast spread out like Parjanya with rains.

We nourish the divine flame within through pure thoughts, reverence, and dedicated action, allowing Agni to expand and shower blessings like rain from the clouds.
